General Contractor working in the Commercial, Industrial, Financial and Institutional Sectors. Industry looking to add a new member to our team.

The Project Accountant Admin. is the primary liaison between Construction and Accounting providing information necessary to perform the construction projects. The Project Accountant Admin. has immediate responsibility for performing all financial activities associated with multiple Company projects, such as project set up and close out, wavers of lien, contract billings to customers, Work Orders to subcontractors and Purchase Orders to suppliers, Chance Orders, COI, cost verification, and assist in development of project cost forecasts.

Responsibilities

Review contracts and identify contractual terms for purposes of customer invoicing.

  • Setup projects for billing in Excel and Sage 300 CRE software as well as WO, PO, CO
  • Prepare excel monthly draw forms and provide required backup documentation, including job cost reports, change orders, change order logs, lien releases, etc.
  • Accurately prepare customer billings and Ensure they occur on schedule and in conformity with contract requirements.
  • Record client billings and cash receipts in Sage.
  • Audit subcontractor and supplier invoices
  • Track preliminary notices, obtain lien waivers, and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Balance vendor statements, ensuring all invoices and credit memos are posted.
Qualifications
  • Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Accounting Admin. for a general contractor.
  • Substantial experience with all project-related components of Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate (CRE) software, including Accounts Payable, Project Management, and Job Cost modules.
  • Ability to effectively employ all elements of Microsoft Office software, and especially proficient in the use of Excel.
