EPI Technician-South Plainfield
Description

The function of an MOCVD Technician is to operate and maintain the MOCVD crystal growth tools in a safe and effective manner.  At a minimum, this includes the preparation and loading of wafers, the execution of production runs, the recording of data, and the characterization of finished product.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for operation and general maintenance of one or more MOCVD systems.
  • Maintain SPC charts, growth databases, and process and equipment logs.
  • Perform wafer cleaning procedures safely and effectively in a standard wet chemical / acid hood.
  • Routinely handle InP wafers for wafer cleaning, reactor loading, and characterization.
  • Works closely with Engineers to resolve MOCVD system related issues.
  • Responsible for keeping MOCVD lab clean and operational.
  • Manage MOCVD standard parts inventory, standard lab supply, substrate inventory, etc.
Qualifications

General Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience with high vacuum systems or with MOCVD.
  • Must be able to work in a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in computer use and knowledge of Microsoft based applications are required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
