Quality Assurance 1st and 2nd Shift

Description

The Quality Visual Inspector position is part of quality function, working in a semiconductor cleanroom and performing visual inspection on wafers, bars and chips for conformance to specifications. This position ensures the visually compliant products to be shipped to our customers.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow the clean room rules and wafer/bar/chip handling procedures
Perform visual inspection on products such as wafers, bars and chips under microscope to detect surface visual defects.
Understand and follow different visual inspection criteria and specification used for wafers, bars, chips and different product category, and successfully catch visual defects.
Count and classify visual defects per specification, properly calculate the defect percentage, and record inspection data on production records or in computer, using computer terminal.
Maintain (with high-level standards for accuracy) data recording, product traceability, and logs.
Determine pass or fail of the products per visual inspection criteria, put products on hold for engineering evaluation as required and follow the basic nonconformity product disposition procedures.
Interact with process engineering team, production team, or other teams, report any systematic issue to quality manager during visual inspection.
Keep up with production schedules and complete the inspection in time for delivery demand.

Qualifications

knowledgeable about the basic fabrication processes of wafers, bar and chips.
Able to work independently and in teams.
Proper handling of delicate hardware and materials with small tools like tweezers and small tipped vacuum wands.
Knowledgeable about the basic requirements and concepts of inline QC inspection.
High degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope.
Proficient with image capture of defects, microscope operation, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.

Basic math skills.

6:30 am to 2 pm and 2pm to 10:30pm
