Responsible for standard technician duties when no one else is available.
Maintain standardization charts on all tools within the characterization laboratory
Qualify new machinery and requalify tools that have been repaired.
Make any solutions that the laboratory might need for etching/ polaron.
Track chemical inventory and make sure that it is ordered when necessary.
Coordinate repairs on malfunctioning tools.
Approve of any changes to the lab procedure.
Record gas consumption every week.
Actively monitor equipment’s health, and plan preventive maintenance when needed
Generate operational documents such as standard procedures as needed
Correspond with outside vendors in professional manner

Qualifications
This position requires a self-motivated, independent individual who can solve problems in a fast-paced environment while working effectively with others.
The candidate is expected to learn the basic operating principles of all reactor systems and characterization equipment.
Knowledge of MOCVD material growth and/or characterization is a plus.
Candidates must have the ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks during the same shift. Attention to detail and excellent time-management skills are required.
Strong analytical and computer skills; ability to analyze data, edit recipes, and manage databases for multiple systems.
Desire to learn new processes and techniques as applied to MOCVD growth and materials characterization. Work with engineers to improve lab processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills are required.
Must have the ability to assist engineering staff with data summaries, work instructions and the training of production personnel.
Bachelor’s Degree, relevant Associate Degree or coursework plus equivalent experience is required; demonstration of effective work experience in this field is a plus.
