Our client, an architecture firm located in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable full time SENIOR PROJECT ARCHITECT to join our design firm.
Responsibilities
Collaborate on design concepts
Preparation of architectural construction documents for public bidding.
Code analysis of projects – candidate must possess a solid understanding of Federal, State and local codes including NJ Uniform Construction Code and Rehabilitation Code
Proficient in AutoCad for producing design and construction details and documentation from schematic through construction documents.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in supervising team and involvement in production of project documentation and coordinating other disciplines and sub consultants - ability to manage external consultants (MEP, Structural, Civil, etc.) for document coordination
Meet with clients
Experience with various construction systems (masonry, steel, cavity wall, rain-screen, etc.)
Construction Administration in the office and in the field – respond to RFIs and field questions
Review drawings prior to Bid for detailed constructability.
Review of submittals, RFI’s and Change Orders during Construction Administration
Manage junior staff and mentor in technical aspects of production and detailing.
Qualifications
Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from accredited college)
10-20 years of experience in profession
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Public sector production experience
Legally eligible to work in the United States with proficiency in the English language
Must have reliable car and be able to drive to office and job sites when required
