The maintenance technician provides support for all activities related to the manufacturing plant and equipment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on flavor processing equipment (homogenizer, air & centrifugal pumps, high shear pumps, laboratory UHT, dry blending/packing equipment etc.) which are critical to the production of finished goods.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machines and equipment to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, and fittings.
Use databases to track and report maintenance activities.
Complete required paperwork.
Follow Good Manufacturing procedures to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing maintenance role in the flavor/food processing industry.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to operate forklift.
Basic computer skills.

Expected to be competent in the following areas:
Machinery repair and installation
Pumps, mixers, and mechanical equipment
General electric work
Plumbing, pipefitting, and welding
General maintenance, such as lubrication, painting, and fabrication of equipment.
